iM Asset Asset Management's private equity investment indirect public offering fund, iM Asset Hero Selection Securities Investment Trust (hereinafter referred to as Hero Selection Fund), launched on the 12th of last month, surpassed 30 billion won in sales in about three weeks since its establishment.
Hero Selection Fund is a product sold exclusively through Yuanta Securities, and is a public private equity investment indirect fund designed to allow ordinary investors to invest in key private equity funds of managers that have already been verified for their skills and performance in the private equity market without any amount limit.
iM Asset Asset Management said, "As there is a rapid inflow of funds right after its launch, we will review soft closing when it reaches the 100 billion won level."
The biggest feature of the Hero Selection Fund is that it has popularized private equity investment centered on high-value asset owners as a public offering fund structure. It allows ordinary individual investors to indirectly experience the management strategy and performance of private equity funds through public offering fund accounts.
Hero Selection Fund is investing in core private equity funds of leading private equity managers in Korea, including Old Asset Management, Must Asset Management, W Asset Management, and Quad Asset Management.
iM Asset Asset Management said, "An additional private equity management company will be incorporated soon," adding, "Each manager is using long-short, long-buyers, multi-strategies, and healthcare-specific strategies based on different investment philosophies and strategies, so you can expect diversification effects at the portfolio level without focusing on a single strategy."
"The Hero Selection Fund is a product that only selects managers and representative funds that have already been proven to be competent in the private equity market," said Kim Hyun-min, director of iM Asset Asset Management. "We wanted to present differentiated investment opportunities to investors by providing private equity investments centered on high-value asset owners in a public offering fund structure without a minimum subscription amount limit."
He added, "As sales have continued rapidly since its launch, we plan to continue stable operations within the appropriate operation scale, considering operational stability and investor protection as the top priority."
