Hanwha Asset Management announced on the 25th that it will recruit an EMP target conversion fund for Hanwha Dynamic Intensive Purchase.
Hanwha Dynamic Intensive Purchase EMP Target Conversion Fund is a product that invests half in domestic listed-themed ETFs and Korean short-term bond ETFs that will lead the future market.
Hanwha Asset Management explained, "It is designed to quickly preempt the theme in a rapidly changing market environment and at the same time defend against interest rate volatility through short-term bond ETFs."
The target conversion rate of return is 7%. When reached, it switches to a portfolio focused on short-term bond ETFs to minimize profit volatility.
Hanwha Dynamic Intensive Purchase EMP Target Conversion Fund selects about 10 to 15 ETFs with major themes and invests intensively. Representative themes include Korea's representative indexes, semiconductors, physical AI, power, and K-dispersion. The theme is selected in a "bottom-up" method based on stock analysis such as financial statements, growth prospects, investment status, and stock price flow.
In the case of thematic ETFs, ETF selection based on stock analysis is possible because stocks in the top three to eight incorporation costs often account for a large proportion. It plans to determine the timing of trading based on the profit growth rate, volatility, and stock price flow of stocks held by selected ETFs.
"If you look at the market recently, the importance of preoccupying the theme has increased due to the shorter replacement cycle of the leading theme," Hanwha Asset Management said. "As the expected return on the leading theme has increased, the volatility has also increased, and the success or failure of investment depends on the timing of the sale."
"The Hanwha Dynamic intensive purchase EMP target conversion fund is a fund that actively responds to changes in the market environment through continuous data-based inspection and rebalancing," he said. "It will be attractive to investors who have difficulty making quick investment decisions and responding in a rapidly changing market environment."
"Many investors often lose money by investing in overheated themes," said Wang Seung-mook, head of Hanwha Asset Management's overseas stock management team. "If you select a theme in a 'bottom-up' method that starts with stock analysis, you can greatly reduce the likelihood of paying opportunity costs, such as buying the lead theme one step late or tying up funds for a long time while waiting for a rebound in the theme that has lost momentum."
"Based on our know-how in successfully managing public active funds and target convertible funds, we will capture future-led sectors and appropriate trading timing to contribute to investors' asset growth," he said.
Hanwha Dynamic Intensive Purchase EMP Target Conversion Fund is a closed-type fund with a fixed recruitment period and can be subscribed to Shinhan Bank, Kyobo Securities, Hana Securities, Hanwha Investment & Securities, and Hanwha Asset Management PINE apps from February 23 to March 6, 2026. The fund will be created with the final amount raised and set on March 9.
