Kakao Bank announced on the 21st that it has launched a "find hidden account" service to protect the rights and interests of financial consumers and strengthen their convenience.
Finding hidden accounts is a service that allows you to check accounts scattered across 26 financial companies, including banks and mutual finance, at once on the Kabang app, and conveniently process cancellation and balance deposits.
When a customer executes "search for accounts," the entire account held is searched, of which "inactive accounts" without transactions for a certain period of time are displayed. After that, if you select the desired account and cancel it, the balance will be deposited into your account.
Kakao Bank has set up a separate menu to increase service accessibility and convenience. It can be used in 'Full Tab → Service → Asset and Grant Search' and can be easily accessed through 'Kakao Bank AI' conversation. You can also check the cancellation details through the 'Application History' menu.
This service is for accounts with a balance of less than 1 million won and no deposit and withdrawal transactions for more than a year. Customers can receive the balance into their account or donate it to the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, and receipts are issued when donating.
In the future, Kakao Bank plans to expand its service to securities companies and insurance companies so that more diverse financial assets can be managed in one place.
