Tinkware's mobility subsidiary iNabi Mobility is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI)-based taxi calling platform "M Trip Taxi." It is expected to increase the mobility convenience of foreign tourists.
'M Trip Taxi' is an advanced taxi call application based on the usage data of the taxi call service for foreigners operated during the APEC period in Gyeongju last year. Foreigners who are not familiar with the Korean address system can search for destinations in English, Chinese, and Japanese as well as Korean and call taxis with directions.
The AI concierge "AIMO" was applied to the "M Trip Taxi" application. Based on multi-agent-based AI and natural language processing (NLP) technology, AI understands the user's meaning and recommends the best place even if the destination name is not accurate.
It supports speech recognition in four languages, so you can search for destinations and call taxis with only voice without entering separate text. For example, voice commands such as "Nearby Pharmacy" and "くのカフェ" can be used from search to call.
iNabi Mobility plans to introduce a real-time translation chat and voice translation function within the first half of the year. It will also introduce a service that combines entertainment elements in the process of movement, such as providing a destination guide with the artist's voice preferred by applying AI voice cloning technology.
Kiosks are installed in major tourist destinations such as Jeonju and Gyeongju to establish an environment in which taxis can be called with just a QR scan. In the future, it plans to expand its application to airports, train stations, hotels, and festival sites.
M Trip Taxi combines multi-agent-based AI and natural language understanding technology to resolve movement and language barriers experienced by foreign tourists, an official from iNabi Mobility said. "We will continue to expand functions such as real-time translation and AI voice to build a foreign-friendly smart tourism infrastructure."
