Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive construction material company of Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 17th that it has launched "Coastal Window," a window product exclusively for coastal houses.
This new product is a functional new product of the window brand "El Safe," and it has strengthened structural stability and watertightness (characteristics that prevent rainwater from leaking indoors) in line with the residential environment around the coast where typhoons and heavy rains are frequent.
Hyundai L&C has designed a double window frame structure so that windows do not shake even with strong winds, and applied a drop-off drainage structure to prevent water from overflowing indoors during heavy rain. A bug prevention cap has also been added to prevent insects from entering the room where stagnant water escapes from the window frame.
The Korea Institute for Construction and Living Environment Testing has obtained the highest grade for each major function, including Class 1 of Confidentiality, Class 50 of Water Confidentiality, and 360 of Wind Pressure Resistance.
A Hyundai L&C official said, "The demand for customized high-function windows for each residential environment is increasing due to the recent abnormal climate and the increased burden of energy costs."
