Cosmax participated in a global cosmetics event in New York and announced its own Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) technology.
Cosmax announced on the 26th that it participated in the "2026 NYSCC Suppliers Day" held in New York from the 19th to the 20th (local time) and announced K-beauty trends and efficacy raw material technologies. Hosted by the New York Cosmetic Chemists Association (NYSCC), the event is a global cosmetic raw material and technology exhibition last year, attended by more than 670 companies from 74 countries and visited by more than 10,000 visitors.
At this year's event, a session on the theme of "K-Beauty" was held for the first time, attended by Noh Jung-kyun, head of Cosmax strategic marketing team, and Park Se-ho, senior researcher at Cosmax BTI R&I unit.
At the session, Cosmax officials and major overseas panels cited K-skincare philosophy that values "prevention" and "skin's natural health" as global box office factors for K-beauty.
Team leader Roh highly appreciated the possibility of PDRN, a next-generation raw material that is currently attracting attention in the beauty market, and presented Cosmax's proprietary PDRN formulation and stabilization technology, and exosome encapsulation technology that increases high purity extraction technology and component absorption rate. PDRN is a substance that is effective in tissue regeneration, inflammation relief, and skin recovery, and is mainly obtained from salmon and trout, but recently, various methods of extracting vegetable PDRN have been studied.
Cosmax cited 'strong PDRN', 'injury of ingredients related to skin longevity', and 'expanding the proportion of biomaterials such as microbiomes' as raw material trends that will lead the skincare market in the next two to three years. It is also predicted that beyond a single effective performance, the combination of skin delivery system and stabilization formulation technology will be the core competitiveness of next-generation cosmetics.
"K-beauty is leading global trends based on excellent efficacy, rapid consumer feedback reflection, and original marketing strategies," a Cosmax official said. "We will expand innovative technology research and development as consumers' understanding of ingredients and efficacy increases."
