Accorda, an AI-powered perfume recommendation and logging service, officially launched its iOS and Android apps on June 4. The app version expands a service that has already been used by more than 160,000 people on the web.
The app’s core feature is automatic recommendations. Every morning, it selects one perfume from the user’s collection that matches the day’s weather and sends it as a notification. In the evening, it recommends scents from a database of more than 60,000 perfumes by reflecting the user’s taste data and daily activities in real time.
A taste-expression system based on a four-letter code, ScentID
Accorda is a taste-based community centered on ScentID, a system that expresses preferences with a four-letter code. ScentID is Accorda’s way of turning complex perfume tastes into a simple code that anyone can understand. Just as personality types are represented with letters, it organizes at a glance what kinds of scents a user likes.
The app also provides real-time notifications for follows, review likes, and comments. It also lets users share their ScentID with friends and compare preferences.
Improved convenience with persistent login and notification integration
Once users log in to the app, their login status remains active. Tapping a notification takes them directly to today’s recommendation without needing to log in again. Search filters, collaborative filtering-based recommendations, and review comments on perfume detail pages are all available in the app, just as they are in Web V2.
Mindway said it hopes that choosing and recording perfumes will become a small daily pleasure rather than an event reserved for special occasions. The Accorda app can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play by searching for “Accorda.”
