Pause if the loan exceeds the size
Toss Bank announced on the 16th that it will adjust the limits of new household credit loans and negative bank accounts to manage household loans.
From 6 p.m. on the 18th, Toss Bank will reduce the maximum limit on credit loans from 300 million won to 100 million won, and the maximum limit on new negative bank accounts from 150 million won to 50 million won, respectively.
In order to prevent the rapid expansion of the loan size, loan applications may be temporarily restricted if the credit loan size exceeds the appropriate level.
The limit adjustment standards, which were previously operated for negative bank account customers, will also be strengthened. Accounts with a limit usage rate of 40% or less for the last three months from the 24th are eligible. The measure will raise the minimum reduction rate from 20% to 30%, and the loan limit can be reduced by up to 40%.
The end date of this adjustment is undecided, and we plan to respond by comprehensively considering household loan trends and market conditions in the future.
A Toss Bank official said, "We will flexibly adjust the new loan limit to secure stability in the financial market, but we will faithfully play our original role as an Internet bank by minimizing the impact on loans to mid- and low-credit people to support low-income finance."
