On the 16th, the Korea Imports Association announced that it will hold the "Korea Import Expo 2026)" at COEX Hall B in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 23rd to the 25th.
Hosted by the Korea Imports Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, the Korea Imports Expo is an import platform that introduces excellent overseas products to Korea and expands global supply chains and creates new business opportunities. In particular, this year, it will change its name from the existing "Korea Import Fair" to "Korea Import Expo" and take a new leap forward. An official from the Korea Imports Association said, "It is a strategic shift to respond to the changing global trade environment beyond a simple name change. In addition to the exhibition function to introduce excellent overseas products, we plan to expand our role as a global business platform to support the discovery of stable raw material and consumer goods suppliers, practical business matching, and long-term supply chain cooperation."
Marking its 23rd anniversary this year, 150 companies from more than 30 countries, including Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and Africa, will participate in the Korea Import Expo to showcase excellent products in various fields such as premium food and beverage, agricultural products and consumer goods. Government agencies, foreign embassies in Korea, and trade and investment promotion institutions will form national and corporate views to introduce promising companies that want to enter the Korean market. In particular, this year, the EU (European Union) will participate as the official host country, and member states will form a national view.
During the exhibition period, a 1:1 business consultation meeting will be held to connect foreign manufacturers and domestic buyers. Domestic importers, large retailers, e-commerce platforms, and specialized distribution companies will participate in actual purchase consultations and supply contract consultations.
Yoon Young-mi, chairman of the Korea Imports Association, said, "The Korea Imports Expo is an important role in supporting the discovery of new suppliers and the establishment of stable supply chains amid the changing trade environment that connects excellent foreign companies and domestic buyers," adding, "We hope the expo, where promising companies and excellent products from around the world gather together, will be a meaningful place to provide new business opportunities for domestic companies and a bridgehead for foreign companies to enter the Korean market."
The Korea Import Expo is open to general visitors as well as business and industry officials interested in sourcing overseas products and expanding the global distribution network. Admission is free of charge when pre-registering through the official website.
