The Sejong City School Support Headquarters announced on the 17th that it will push for a "2026 plan to replace ceiling-type air circulator filters" to block fine dust in schools.
The project targets 151 schools in the area with ceiling-type air circulators, and the school support headquarters will replace the pre-filters and HEPA filters inside the device during the first half of the year.
The filter standard will increase the effect of reducing fine dust by applying the pre-filter MERV grade 7 or higher and the HEPA filter MERV grade 13 or higher.
Lee Mi-ja, head of the school support division, said, "It is expected to increase the level of air quality management in schools through the replacement of ceiling-type air circulator filters and provide a safe and clean learning environment for students and faculty."
