Naver Pay announced on the 29th that it has opened 'Smart Pass', a facial recognition departure service at Incheon International Airport.

Smart Pass is a service that allows you to quickly pass through the departure hall and boarding gate with facial recognition by registering face information, passports, and boarding passes in advance, and is now available on the Npay app.

Anyone over the age of 7 can use the service, and after the initial registration of "Smart Pass" on the Npay app, you can easily use the service by registering a boarding pass before departure. Those aged 7 to 14 need the consent of a legal representative.

The service is characterized by increased convenience in connection with Npay's face recognition access and authentication service, 'Facesign'. In the case of Npay users who have previously registered a 'face sign', they only need to register their passports and boarding passes.

When registration is completed, you can pass through the smart pass line at the departure hall of Incheon International Airport and some boarding gates of participating airlines such as Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Air Seoul, Eastar Jet, Jeju Air, and Jin Air without having to take out your passport or boarding pass.

To commemorate the opening of the "Smart Pass" service, Npay will also hold a promotion until August to pay 3,000 won for smart pass and passport information registration on the Npay app.

"We expect 'Facesign' verified at large events such as 'Inventario', the largest stationery fair in Korea, and at various festival sites to provide a quick and convenient experience to airport users during the summer vacation season," said Lee Hyang-chul, head of Npay service. "We will expand our use of 'Facesign' in more diverse places in the future."
