Dongsung Chemical announced on the 1st that Baek Jung-ho, chairman of Dongsung Chemical, has been appointed as honorary consul general to Austria in Busan.

Earlier, on the 15th of last month, the Honorary Consulate General of Austria in Busan was officially opened at Dongsung Chemical's headquarters. On the 30th of last month, a reception was also held at the Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by key figures such as Austrian Ambassador to Korea Eva Marie Rusek and Honorary Consulate General Director Jo Dong-sung.

"As South Korea and Austria have maintained a strong friendly relationship based on trust and respect for a long time, I feel a great sense of responsibility as an honorary consul," Chairman Baek said. "We will do our best to serve as a bridge between culture and people's minds beyond the political and economic spheres of the two countries."

Ambassador Rusek said, "Solid bilateral relationships are built not only by the government, but also by dedicated individuals who connect people, institutions, and views. Honorary Consul Baek Jeong-ho is a person who embodies this spirit."
