On the 6th, DMS, a display and semiconductor equipment manufacturer, announced that it has signed a contract with HKC, a Chinese display company, to supply display equipment worth 41.3 billion won. This is equivalent to about 27% of last year's sales. The equipment will be brought into the H7 line of the sixth-generation LCD plant under construction by HKC in Myeonyang City, Sichuan Province, China.
DMS produces wet equipment necessary for the entire display manufacturing process, such as cleaning, developing, peeling, and etching equipment. Earlier on the 29th, DMS also signed a contract with Chinese panel company CSOT to supply OLED manufacturing equipment worth 67.7 billion won.
A DMS official said, "We have secured a series of orders for major customers amid the rapid expansion of orders for equipment from Chinese display companies," adding, "We will also speed up securing mid- to long-term growth engines."
