DSRV (Co-CEO Kim Ji-yoon and Seo Byung-yoon), a Korean blockchain infrastructure company, will join hands with an affiliate of SBI Group, a large Japanese financial holding company, to enter the local enterprise (business) blockchain market.

On the 13th, DSRV announced that it has launched a joint study with 'SBI XDC Network Asia-Pacific Corporation (SBI XDC Network APAC)' with the aim of entering the blockchain market for local companies in Japan.

Using this joint research as the first step, the two companies plan to establish a blockchain cooperation system linking Korea and Japan and further contribute to the expansion of the global ecosystem that encompasses the Asia-Pacific region.

SBI XDC, which has partnered with DSRV this time, is a joint venture established jointly by SBI Holdings, Japan's leading financial group, and TradeFinex Tech, a developer specializing in blockchain.

Currently, SBI XDC is in charge of leading the trade finance innovation and B2B (business-to-business transaction) solution business based on blockchain technology within SBI Group and supporting companies in the Asia-Pacific region to smoothly introduce enterprise blockchain.

In fact, SBI XDC, a joint venture, has recently accelerated its digital transformation (DX) in the trade sector by conducting a factoring workflow demonstration (PoC) using corporate digital identity authentication in Japan.

The joint research between the two companies focuses on closely connecting the institutional markets of the two countries by combining Korea's world-class Web3 infrastructure technology and Japanese financial companies' enterprise business capabilities.

The specific areas of cooperation are largely divided into four categories. First of all, we review the enterprise solution utilization model based on the XDC network from various angles. Next, we explore in-depth the possibility of increasing efficiency by applying blockchain technology to the fields of trade finance and supply chain management (SCM), which were previously complicated by paperwork.

In this regard, the XDC network is a hybrid Layer 1 blockchain specialized in global trade finance and business-to-business transactions, supporting ISO20022, an international financial communication standard, to present smooth integration with the existing banking financial system as a strength.

Another collaboration is to examine the application of digital assets and real assets (RWA) tokenization technology to the real financial scene. Tokenization of real assets has recently emerged as a key future food for the traditional financial sector as it can maximize liquidity by converting traditional assets such as real estate, art, and bonds into blockchain-based tokens.

Finally, it plans to actively discover a cross-border (cross-border) business collaboration model between Korea and Japan and present a new profit model for the global blockchain business.

In particular, as an extension of this partnership, DSRV will officially join the Valley Data (Verifier) of the XDC network within the third quarter of this year and participate directly in the mainnet operating ecosystem.

DSRV emphasized that it will make technical contributions to maintaining network performance and security based on its know-how in providing stable infrastructure and actively support development for ecosystem expansion.

"Both Korea and Japan are in the process of incorporating digital assets into institutional finance faster than ever," said Jung Ji-yoon, chief operating officer of DSRV. "We will focus all of the company's capabilities on creating an exemplary and successful role model that connects Korea and Japan's blockchain ecosystem in key areas of trade finance and RWA along with SBI XDC."
