Key points of the app overhaul

Joonggonara said it will carry out a major service overhaul to improve the user experience across the board, from product discovery and transaction trust to selling convenience. The update will fully revamp the app’s user interface, centered on personalized recommendations and a feed-style browsing feature, while also introducing a Safe Transaction Index and a new coupon function. It will also expand user benefits, including higher limits on sales posts and safe compensation, while partially adjusting the Safe Payment fee policy.

Homepage personalized recommendations and feed-style browsing tab revamped

The redesigned homepage will enhance personalized recommendations and expand product exposure so users can browse items tailored to their interests and activity data. The existing category-based search tab will be replaced with a feed-style "Explore" tab. Users will be able to browse everything from newly listed items to nearby direct-sale products without interruption. AI self-inspection listings, which are checked jointly by AI and sellers, will also be collected and offered separately.

Safe Transaction Index introduced as a trust indicator

A new "Safe Transaction Index" will be introduced to objectively show how trustworthy a trading partner is. The trust indicator is calculated based on actual Safe Payment transaction data and reflects the number of Safe Payment transactions, reviews and the date of the most recent transaction. Users will be able to check the other party’s Safe Transaction Index directly on product detail pages and store information pages. Verified users with Safe Payment transaction history will receive a certification badge.

New coupon system and appreciation event schedule

Joonggonara will also launch a new coupon system in the app. To mark the introduction of the system, the company will run an appreciation event from July 28 to Aug. 31, offering discount coupons worth up to 7,000 won. Coupons will be issued starting Aug. 3 and can be used to reduce the purchase price when paying through Safe Payment. Coupons can be viewed and managed in the coupon box on the My Page section.

Higher limits for sales posts, safe compensation and Safe Payment transactions

Along with the app overhaul, Joonggonara will strengthen both selling convenience and transaction safety. The daily limit on sales posts for regular members will double from 10 to 20, while the limit for members with a posting pass will double from 20 to 40. The company will also provide one additional "Boost" feature to help listings appear higher in search results. The safe compensation limit will rise from 1 million won to 2 million won, and the Safe Payment transaction limit will expand to as much as 100 million won, allowing users to trade higher-priced items.

Safe Payment fee policy adjusted

The fee policy for Safe Payment will also be partially adjusted. The seller fee will change from 1.0% to 2.5%, while the buyer fee of 3.5% and the fee waiver for transactions under 20,000 won will remain unchanged.

Transaction experience fully redesigned and future plans

Choi Inwook, CEO of Joonggonara, said, "This overhaul is not just a simple UI change. We focused on redesigning the entire process, from discovering products and confirming trust to completing transactions." He added, "Going forward, we will continue to improve the overall transaction experience by strengthening AI-based fraud prevention systems and logistics services, while expanding convenience features by category."
