Choi Young-jin, vice president of Hanwha Asset Management, speaks at a briefing session on the "Four Investment Strategies under the U.S.-China hegemonic War" for Hong Kong's asset owners on the 5th.

Hanwha Asset Management announced on the 6th that it held a briefing session on the "four major investment strategies under the U.S.-China hegemonic war" for Hong Kong high-value asset owners at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 5th.

The event, co-hosted by Hong Kong's CSOP Asset Management, was attended by more than 40 high-value asset owners, including a family office representative who manages assets of more than $1 billion.

Choi Young-jin, vice president of Hanwha Asset Management, said at the briefing session, "The block-oriented confrontation between the U.S. and China is a new normal that will last for decades," adding, "We should pay attention to the four major investment pillars: defense, AI, resources and power, and digital assets."

Hanwha Asset Management plans to accelerate the movement of exporting its investment strategies and indexes overseas.

The Korea Defense Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), "KDEF," in which Hanwha Asset Management participated as an index operator, recently surpassed $100 million in net assets on the New York Stock Exchange. The underlying index is the "PLUS K Defense" ETF listed in Korea.

Recently, a new index to invest in key Korean manufacturing companies has been developed, and related products are undergoing the process of listing on the New York Stock Exchange.

"The global performance of the PLUS K Defense ETF is an example of how Korean asset managers' investment capabilities work in the global market," Vice President Choi said. "As a leader in K-financial exports in the future, we will introduce various strategic products to the global market."
