KOSDAQ-listed Clobot has confirmed its acquisition of Doosan Logistics Solution.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 24th, Clobot signed a contract (SPA) to acquire a 100% stake (412,428) in Doosan Logistics Solution for 68.5 billion won.
Closing the deal is aimed at September. The strategy is to combine the robot control software capabilities of Clobot with the warehouse management system (WMS) and warehouse control system (WCS) capabilities of Doosan Logistics Solution.
Doosan Logistics Solutions has successfully carried out large-scale projects including Nike and Daiso. It recorded sales of about 67 billion won last year. It is expected to grow to about 100 billion won this year.
It is explained that the backlog of orders equivalent to sales for the next two years has already been confirmed, and a stable sales base of about 150 billion won will be secured immediately after the acquisition.
Doosan will bear the costs related to the ongoing Thai arbitration. With a loan-free financial structure, Doosan Logistics Solutions will be incorporated into Clobot.
If Clobot's robot technology is combined with Doosan Logistics Solution' warehouse management and control system, the company expects that it will expand its scope beyond distribution and logistics to win orders for automation of manufacturing sites.
