Hana Financial Group, chaired by Ham Young-joo, carried out a mural creation volunteer activity on June 29, 2026, at Gajwa Youth Center in Seo-gu, Incheon, together with the winner of its art contest for artists with developmental disabilities, ‘Hana Artverse.’
The third activity in the Incheon environmental improvement relay campaign
The volunteer activity was part of Hana Financial Group’s ‘Incheon Environmental Improvement Relay Campaign,’ which has been held every month since April 2026 ahead of the group’s headquarters relocation to Cheongna International City in Incheon in September. It followed mural work at Yeonhui Senior Welfare Center, Incheon, in April 2026 and a plogging campaign at Gangnam Market in Seo-gu, Incheon, in May 2026.
Artist Kang Won-jin, a winner of Hana Artverse, takes part
Kang Won-jin, a developmental disability artist and winner of the group’s flagship social contribution program, ‘Hana Artverse,’ joined the campaign to promote awareness of disabilities and spread a culture of inclusion. Kang received an excellence award at the 3rd Hana Artverse in 2024 and also took part in the ‘Hana Artverse Goods Donation Campaign’ in April 2026, helping produce items such as T-shirts and eco-friendly dishcloths. All proceeds from the sale of those goods were donated in full to support the social advancement and economic independence of artists with developmental disabilities.
Mural details and participation scale
More than 30 employees from the group volunteered for the activity and created murals in the hallway and program rooms inside Gajwa Youth Center, using Kang Won-jin’s works ‘Gazing’ and ‘What Are You Doing?’ as inspiration. One Hana Financial Group employee who took part said, "It was a meaningful time because we were able to spread warmth throughout the local community through the mural we carefully painted with Kang Won-jin."
