Sesco (Chairman Jeon Chan-hyuk), a comprehensive environmental sanitation company, will join hands with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to expand employment of the disabled and preserve nature.

On the 21st, Sesco signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the northern branch of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, and held the opening ceremony of the "ESG Value Creator (EVC) Center." Officials from Sesco, the Gyeonggi Northern Branch of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and Uijeongbu City Hall attended the opening ceremony.

Established under the value of "small practices gathering to make big changes," the "Sesco EVC Center" is a win-win space created with workers with developmental disabilities. Sesco has hired a total of 28 new workers with developmental disabilities this year, and the key is to build a sustainable environment where we can grow together as equal members of our society beyond just creating jobs.

Based on the Green Hug campaign, which means "green tomorrow filled with empty bottles," when citizens put transparent plastic bottles into unmanned collectors, workers monitor the load of equipment located in the metropolitan area in real time with a remote system (app) to help them collect smoothly.

Through this, the daily recycling system will be activated, carbon reduction and social value creation will be promoted. The plan is to create a cleaner and more sustainable future by returning abandoned resources with value. Sesco supports customized education and a friendly working environment from various angles so that they can adapt to their jobs stably.

An official from Sesco said, "We have opened the EVC center as a result of thinking about authentic jobs that people with disabilities can realize their values," adding, "Through this agreement with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, we will develop it into a space that truly accompanies the environment and people and grows together."
