Healthcare robot company Bodyfriend announced on the 23rd that the number of rental contracts and sales of customers in their 20s in the first half of this year nearly doubled compared to the same period last year. Analysts say that the customer base is expanding from the existing middle-aged to young people.
According to the sales settlement in the first half of the year announced by Bodyfriend, the number of contracts for customers in their 20s (healthcare robots, medical devices, and massage sofa) increased by 93.7%, and sales also increased by 82.8%. Thanks to this, the total number of customer contracts increased by 16.2% year-on-year.
Bodyfriend analyzed it as a result of reflecting the high acceptance of the latest technologies such as AI and robots, along with the trend of self-investment among the younger generation who are more interested in self-management. An official from Bodyfriend said, "The new functions of Bodyfriend's AI healthcare robot and medical device range are interpreted as lowering the age barrier for brands," adding, "In the second half of the year, we will focus on expanding our customer base, including young people who actively respond to new technologies through upgraded new products."
Meanwhile, regardless of age group, the most sold products were medical device 'Medical Pharaoh' and healthcare robot 'Falcon N'. About 75% of the total performance was divided into "medical devices" and "compact healthcare robots." Until last year, customers in their 20s mainly visited entry models, including the Falcon series, but in the first half of this year, they signed the most medical device 'Medical Pharaoh', a standard correction device.
